Introduction & Goals

The Faculty of Arts and Sciences (FAS) prepares students for their post-graduate careers as humane innovators and societal mentors. The learning paradigm of FAS revolves around student engagement inside and outside the classroom. Serving as an entryway to eminent post-graduate careers, FAS incorporates real-world experiences through functional partnerships with various entities, particularly in the healthcare sector. The two programs that are being inaugurated in 2021 are Biology and Information Technology.

Biology - Emphasis in Healthcare

The Bachelor of Science Biology program educates students on life processes that span molecular, cellular, system, organismal, and population levels. The Emphasis in Healthcare and the Minor in Information Technology tracks expand career paths of graduates, including medicine, academic or biotechnology research, education, and entrepreneurship.

Accepted applicants for the Fall 2021 semester will be asked to make a commitment by providing an enrollment deposit fee by August 31, 2021. This deposit will be deducted from the students’ tuition once they enroll.

Tuition Rate
SGUB uses a flat-rate tuition costing to calculate the tuition for full-time undergraduate students in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. Every major has a cost per credit-hour; which is used to determine the total tuition of the student. Students enrolled in 12-18 credit-hours will have their tuition fees calculated for 12 credit hours. Students registered in fewer than 12 credit-hours will be charged as per each credit cost. Therefore, students are encouraged to enroll in 15 or more credit- hours in order to achieve the maximum benefit of the flat rate tuition.
